A New Year's tale - Дмитрий Май
In a cozy village where snowflakes danced like tiny ballerinas in the light of street lamps, there lived a girl named Karina with her fluffy companion, a bunny named Kit. When the last day of the year waned and the stars began to twinkle in anticipation of the new one, Karina and Kit decided to go on an adventure that would later become known as "Enchanted New Year's Eve." When the village clock struck eight, Karina turned to Keith, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
"Are you ready for a magical night, Kit?" "What is it?" she asked.
— I'm more ready than ever! Kit replied, standing up on his hind legs, excitement shining in his eyes. Together they slipped out into the fresh winter air, into a night full of possibilities.
There were a lot of people in the village square, but Karina and Kit were going to another place — the legendary Enchanted Forest bordering their village. Legend had it that on New Year's Eve, the forest came alive with miracles for those who dared to enter it with a pure heart. As they approached the mysterious forest, the wind sang softly, carrying with it a melody that seemed to beckon them forward. The forest greeted them with twinkling lights, and what appeared to be snowflakes turned out to be tiny glowing fairies showing them the way.
— This is unbelievable, Kit! Have you ever seen anything like this? Karina exclaimed.
— Never in my wildest dreams, Karina! Kit replied, his nose twitching with delight. They went deeper and it was then that the first plot twist occurred: the path split into two parts, each of which led in an unknown direction. A riddle echoed among the trees, designed to guide them: "There are two paths ahead: one true, the other confusing; choose the one that the bravest treads." Together, Katya and Kit decided that courage lies not in choosing a path, but in the heart of a traveler. They chose the left path, hoping that their courage would help them reach the end.
While walking, they noticed that the trees were decorated with ice decorations, each of which told the story of the past year. It was a gallery of memories and they realized that the forest teaches them that every experience, good or bad, is valuable. However, their journey was short-lived, as a second twist appeared in their story. The trail ended abruptly at a stormy river and the only way across it was a bridge made of brittle ice crystals that shimmered like diamonds in the moonlight. Karina knew that for a safe crossing it was necessary to trust the strength of the fragile-looking bridge.
"As the riddle says, we have to be brave, Kit. Karina said, taking her first cautious step onto the bridge.
— Together we can do it. Kit agreed, jumping up and down next to her. With hearts full of hope and courage, they crossed the bridge, and when they reached the other side, they were greeted by an amazing sight: a spacious clearing, the trees of which were hung with lanterns, flooding with golden radiance a crowd of forest creatures waiting to welcome the New Year. The creatures greeted Karina and the Whale, because they were the first to arrive to them with real courage. The animals shared forest stories, and from each story Karina and Kit learned valuable lessons of kindness, perseverance and friendship. When the clock tower struck midnight, the forest shone with renewed magic and the creatures whispered a secret.
"Every New Year brings with it a chance to grow, change and weave new stories into the fabric of time."
— We will never forget this night and the lessons we learned. Karina said, her voice full of gratitude.
— And we will carry them with us into the new year and beyond. Keith added, nuzzling her hand. With hearts overflowing with surprise, Karina and Kit returned to the village, knowing that the magic of the magical New Year's Eve will forever remain a part of their history. And when they went to bed, the first rays of the new year's sun peered into their window, promising a year filled with the same adventures and magic as the night they had just experienced.
Enchanted Northern LightsOn New Year's Eve, in a quaint village located among snow-covered dunes, there lived a boy named Grisha, who was as curious as he was brave. Grisha, with eyes full of wonder, dreamed of witnessing the northern lights, a sight his grandmother often whispered to him before going to bed. But these were not ordinary lights; they were magical, dancing in the sky and telling old stories. As the hands of the clock approached twelve, Grisha was hailed by a quiet whisper of adventure. Dressed in his warmest coat and boots, he went out into the frosty night, his breath forming small clouds of steam in the air. He didn't know where to start, but his heart told him to follow the stars and he did so. Wandering through the forest, Grisha came across a clearing where he saw a magnificent reindeer, whose fur was white as snow, and its horns sparkled under the moon.
A deer named Mika looked at Grisha with intelligent eyes.
— Are you lost? Mika asked in a gentle but ringing voice.
"I'm looking for the northern lights, but I don't know where to find it," Grisha replied, and there was both excitement and concern in his voice.
"Then we'll find them together, — Micah said. "Get on my back and hold on tight."
And so, the adventure began.
Mika, holding Grisha tightly on his back, raced
